Burton Street History Project aims to deliver building, refurbishment and restoration work to a high standard while respecting the historical character of properties. This Warranty Policy explains how workmanship concerns are handled after completion.

Workmanship Warranty
Where a warranty is agreed for a specific project, it covers defects in workmanship arising from the work carried out by our building team during the agreed warranty period.
What the Warranty Covers
- Defects directly caused by poor workmanship.
- Repair or remedial work required to correct covered workmanship defects.
- Issues specifically included in the written project agreement or quotation.
What the Warranty Does Not Cover
- Normal wear and tear.
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents or alterations by others.
- Defects resulting from materials or structures not supplied or installed by us.
- Damage caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
- Changes made to completed work without our approval.
Reporting a Defect

Any suspected defect should be reported as soon as reasonably possible after it is identified. Please provide details of the issue, when it occurred and, where appropriate, photographs to help us assess the concern.
Inspection and Remedial Work
We may inspect the reported issue to determine whether it falls within the agreed warranty. Where a covered defect is confirmed, we will agree the appropriate remedial action with the client.
Project-Specific Terms
Warranty periods and specific coverage may vary depending on the nature and scope of the building, refurbishment or restoration work. Where applicable, the agreed quotation, contract or project documentation will take precedence over this general policy.
